[News] Google’s October 29 Event for Android Has Been Cancelled
Google’s October 29 Event Cancelled |
Google’s supposed-to-be major Android event scheduled for tomorrow (NZT) in New York was cancelled over the weekend due to the disaster – Hurricane Sandy. The storm has already killed a lot of people in the Caribbean, which has been nicknamed “Frankenstorm”.
The Verge reports that the event was going to take place on a waterfront pier in the city, which has now turned into a evacuation zone.
Google has not announced another date for its event yet, but be sure to check back here soon, when we have the dates ready for you. The cancellation has been confirmed by Google, which they issued a statement that read:
We are cancelling our Monday morning event in New York due to Hurricane Sandy. We will let you know our plans as soon as we know more.
So… no major Google unveiling. But good news for Microsoft though, as they have a Windows 8 smartphone unveiling tomorrow in San Francisco!
We will update you once we have a confirmed date for a rescheduled Google event!
