[CES2015] Pre-CES Report
NZ TechBlog wishes all our readers a very happy new year for 2015, and we hope to bring you even better stories this year! To start things off, as every year comes to an end, there is always something new, exciting and techy just round the New Year: CES 2015! Just like last year’s CES2014, we will be bringing you daily reports of each day’s CES happenings between 7-10 of January 2015 (NZT), starting with today’s Pre-CES Report right here, for you!
I will basically start off with the same lines as last year: Today was literally day zero for CES 2015. Today is the day where most big companies have their Pre-CES press conferences. So here are some articles that may interest you from today:
Sony Unveils New Walkman ZX2!
Sony unveiled a top-of-the-line high-end audio experience Walkman ZX2 today, that will retail at a huge $1119+ US dollars! The target market for this is obviously for audiophiles, and at least it supports most audio codecs: DSD, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, Apple Lossless and more, including Sony’s new digital audio coding technology for wireless sound transfer called LDAC: supposedly transmits 3 times more data than conventional Bluetooth!

Can you believe it?! The title really says it all! Also thinner than Sony’s own Xperia Z3 smartphone! And it is also just as smart since it supports Google’s Android TV! Just wonder what the price will be…
The television is also equipped with Sony’s new X1 4 processor that improves resolution, dynamic range and color. Users will be able to take advantage of Sony’s One Flick interface and Android TV. The television will be work with the newly introduced Google Cast feature, which allows users to stream audio from a mobile device to compatible speakers.

Plus, find out what “Samsung Milk” is! To be honest, it is the most stupidest brand name I’ve ever heard be made!

Samsung is apparently going to being focusing on the Internet of Things (IoT for short) this year. They want every connected smart device to be actually smart and to be able to talk to each other to provide home automation with a seamless experience. Therefore, their IoT protocol will be open to allow for this. Plus, see the automatic driving car by BMW at the end of this clip!
Sony Unveils SmartEyeglass: A Direct Competitor to Google Glass!

Very similar to Google Glass, Sony unveils their Developer Kit Edition prototype of the SmartEyeglass. Cool concept, but no mention of availability as of yet..
Also in this article is Sony’s new all-in-one headset called the Smart B-Trainer, which features a lot of sensors to “help runners improve their performance”.
