[News] iOS 6’s App Store Should Be Getting Google Maps Very Soon!
Google is now putting in the final touches for its Maps for iOS 6 |
Since Apple ditched Google’s Maps application for iOS 6, Google has been frantically making a new Maps app for iOS. Google has supposedly distributed a beta test version of its iOS Maps app to some beta testers outside of the company. We would now think that a submission to the App Store is getting closer and closer; exact date is still unknown. Google is now applying finishing touches to the app.
Apple have not had a good start to its own Maps app, especially when compared to the competition – Google, but is still continuing to improve. There have been some major flaws to its [Apple] app, wrong locations, major places missing, rendering of maps completely wrong, etc. These issues are being fixed on a day-to-day basis, thanks to Apple iOS 6’s more advanced, crowd-sourced data to improve and fix Maps.
What we should see in Google’s Maps for iOS 6, that was not included in the previous version on iOS 5, are turn-by-turn navigation, and a more improved feature and UI set.
Hopefully we’ll see that the submission of Google’s Maps for iOS 6 to the App Store, will go without a hitch.
