[News] Nokia NZ’s Country Manager Takes Up New Role at Mobile Mentor
Enterprise mobility specialist, Mobile Mentor, announced today that Andrew Button will be joining the company as Managing Director, New Zealand.
Button has more than 20 years’ experience in the mobile industry and has held senior executive positions in leading mobile businesses in New Zealand, Singapore and the USA.
Denis O’Shea, founder and CEO of Mobile Mentor, says Button’s appointment is part of his long-term growth strategy for the business.
“Andrew is hugely experienced, and a consummate professional, with a deep knowledge of the mobile market. I’m thrilled he’s agreed to join us, and having him on board in NZ will mean I can focus on the growth of our business in Australia.”
When the role at Mobile Mentor came up, Button says he jumped at the chance.
“I’m totally passionate about mobile technology – that’s what’s kept me in this industry for the last couple of decades. And this role at Mobile Mentor will allow me to get closer to enterprise customers, and understand their challenges and opportunities – which I love doing,” he says.
Button says what excites him most about mobile technology is its potential to deliver massive competitive advantage for organisations that think carefully about what they’re looking to achieve and put in place the right plan to get them there.
“That’s why I was keen to join Mobile Mentor,” Button says. “Because that’s what this company does. We’re all about partnering with enterprises to help them through the entire process, from planning the strategy and deploying infrastructure and management systems, to building and deploying applications, to reaping the benefits at the other end.”
“For me,” he says, “seeing those benefits realized, seeing the amazing outcomes we can deliver for companies and people – and just how liberating these technologies can be can be for them – that is tremendously satisfying.”
Button will take up his new role in April.
