[News] Don’t fall for an Xbox One prank

Xbox One

There has been an image going around social networking sites and forums of the like claiming how you can make your Xbox One console ‘backwards compatible’ with the Xbox 360. Well I can tell you right now is to Not Fall For This Prank! Instead of making your Xbox One ‘backwards compatible’ all it does is make your Xbox One reboot in a constant cycle, effectively bricking your console.

This ‘prank’ follows after numerous attempts of other pranks including earlier in the week, a British guy paid $8-900 for a picture of an Xbox One on eBay, and not to forget the prank that tricked some iPhone users into thinking that their iPhone was now “waterproof” because of the release of iOS7. Yes, you won’t believe it, but there are some… “like-minded” people should we say…

Following the Xbox One prank, Microsoft’s Director of Programming for Xbox Live took to Twitter to warn “non-suspecting” users (and everybody else) to avoid doing such thing to their Xbox and reassured people that there is no backwards compatibility on the Xbox One.

Below is an image of what the instructions for the prank look like and please Do Not Attempt this because this is FAKE!
