[News] Huawei Launches Ascend P2 in New Zealand
Huawei is launching the Ascend P2 in New Zealand on November 12, allowing Kiwis to achieve incredible speeds on today’s cutting edge 4G LTE networks.
The Ascend P2 is Huawei’s fastest smartphone and as a flagship device comes fully loaded with the company’s high-end hardware. A 1.5 GHz quad-core processor powers the device and it sports 4G LTE Cat 4 connectivity to provide an ultra-fast online experience at up to 150 Mbps.
The Ascend P2 will be available through Telecom which is offering a free upgrade to its new 4G network from November 12.
As a P-Series device the Ascend P2 combines high-end design with outstanding performance and features.
“The Ascend P2 takes the user experience to the next level,” says Huawei New Zealand Head of Devices Jacky Zhao.
“This is a stunning device with the power to provide seamless performance in any situation. When combined with a next generation 4G LTE network the Ascend P2 is capable of truly amazing things, connecting at up to 150Mbps and allowing you to enjoy an unparalleled mobile experience. You can download Full HD movies in minutes, stream HD video without buffering, and load websites almost instantly.”
The Ascend P2 runs Android 4.1 with Huawei’s own Emotion UI. Huawei’s Me Widget utilises screen real-estate by combining all the information and functions you need into a single custom widget. Emotion UI also provides the ‘smartphone housekeeper’ function to support a range of features including real-time data traffic tracking, automatic blacklisting and blocking, anti-virus, energy saving, privacy protection and more.
A large 2420 mAh battery combined with Huawei Quick Power Control and further power saving technologies increases battery life and reduces charging time, keeping you mobile for longer.
The device measures just 8.4mm thick with an infinity edge 4.7-inch IPS HD in-cell touch display, protected by second-generation Corning Gorilla Glass. Its ‘magic touch’ technology provides enhanced screen responsiveness even while wearing gloves, and instant keyword translation and Wikipedia searches can now be done in a single window using Huawei’s ‘smart reading’ function.
Photo and video capabilities are delivered with a 13 MP Back-illuminated sensor (BSI) rear-facing camera with High-dynamic range (HDR) and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera. A dedicated camera button allows instant access, helping you get the perfect shot every time.
The RRP of the Huawei Ascend P2 is NZ$599.
