It has been officially confirmed that Apple is indeed holding an event for next week! This event is likely for Apple to introduce new iPads and Macs, and will be on the 23rd of October NZT.

The event invite (pictured above) only says: “We still have a lot to cover,” and has colourful leaves, in which the ‘colourful’ part is now nearly a norm for all Apple invites!

The press conference will take place in San Francisco, at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theatre, and will begin at 6AM NZT on Wednesday 23rd October 2013. It would’ve been at 5AM if it wasn’t for the recent daylight saving changes!

At this event, we are expecting Apple to refresh some of its Macs, particularly the MacBook Pros, and hopefully we’ll hear more on the pricing of their new operating system OS X Mavericks. We also hope that they will be able to give us a date as to when their new Mac Pros will be available for shipping!

It is still unclear whether Apple will live-stream this event or not, but we will definitely be live-blogging it right here on NZ TechBlog, so be sure to stay tuned to our live-blog stream next week on Wednesday morning! And don’t worry if you can’t make it, as you will be able to revisit the stream even after it’s been live-blogged!
