[News] Introducing the iPad Pro
Yesterday, Apple announced the iPhone SE and a new iPad Pro as well. The new iPad Pro is 9.7 inches, measures just 6.1mm thin, and weighs less than 500 grams! It also features a new pro Retina display with greater brightness, wider colour gamut, lower reflectivity, Night Shift mode and introduces a new True Tone display technology to dynamically adjust white balance.
The new iPad Pro also boasts a 64-bit A9X processing chip, as well as a four-speaker audio system. A 12-megapixel iSight camera, 5-megapixel FaceTime camera, faster wireless, and support for Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard are also in the body of the new iPad Pro.
The 12-megapixel iSight camera features Focus Pixels for faster focusing, advanced noise reduction and better face detection. True Tone flash improves low light shots and document scanning. The iSight camera also shoots 4K video.
The Night Shift mode uses the device’s location and clock to automatically adjust the colours in the display to the warmer end of the spectrum after dark, and in return Apple claims it may also give you a better night’s sleep.
The new iPad Pro comes in silver, space grey, gold and a new rose gold metallic finish. The RRP starting price is $1,049 for the 32GB with WiFi, and $1,269 for the 32GB WiFi + Cellular model. Both iPad Pro sizes are available in 32GB, 128GB and new 256GB storage capacities.
New Zealanders can pre-order on 25th of March 2016, and through selected carriers and Apple Authorised Resellers on 1st of March 2016. Because of the time zone, orders coincide with April Fools Day. However, I’m pretty sure that this is not an April Fools joke!
