[News] The Raspberry Pi Zero That Costs Only $10!
Last post for the night before bed. The team at Raspberry Pi have made a new updated mini-version of the original Raspberry Pi model, Raspberry Pi Zero. The Raspberry Pi Zero costs a miniature $10 (approximate NZD), and in the UK and US it comes free with the purchase of the exclusive MagPi magazine! A free computer in a magazine! Has the NZ TV Guide ever given you a free TV as part of their magazine yet? No I didn’t think so…
The specs of the Raspberry Pi Zero are as follows:
- A Broadcom BCM2835 application processor
- 1GHz ARM11 core (40% faster than Raspberry Pi 1)
- 512MB of LPDDR2 SDRAM
- A micro-SD card slot
- A mini-HDMI socket for 1080p60 video output
- Micro-USB sockets for data and power
- An unpopulated 40-pin GPIO header
- Identical pinout to Model A+/B+/2B
- An unpopulated composite video header
- Our smallest ever form factor, at 65mm x 30mm x 5mm
