The Launch of the HTC One M9 Smartphone in NZ
The HTC One M9 smartphone was announced earlier this month and it has proven itself to become one of the best Android smartphones out there at the moment! As with its predecessors, the One M7 and One M8, premium materials are at the forefront of the devices. The new HTC One M9 is made of metal and has that same premium feel as its previous versions. I am actually quite impressed!
After listening to its customers, HTC have dropped its UltraPixel camera on the rear, instead replacing it with a normal 20MP camera. However, the UltraPixel camera is included in the front.
The HTC One M9 also has the ability to support up to 260GB of external storage today, with the ability to support up to 2TB of external storage in the future.
HTC Sense 7 is still on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop. This time they are advertising its themes, which are highly customisable and is able to “intelligently analyse your favourite photos to modify the look and feel of your apps, colour scheme and backgrounds.”
The BoomSound dual front-facing speakers are still there and is combined with a 5.1 channel Dolby Surround Sound simulation.
Internal storage comes with 32GB and has 3GB of RAM. The screen sports a full HD 5-inch display, with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It has a ppi of ~441.
I have a HTC One M9 unit on its way to me, so will have a full review once I get to test it out in my hands!
The HTC One M9 will be available in dual-tone Silver and Rose Gold from all New Zealand carriers and major retailers from 7 April.
