WeChat’s Latest Updates for iOS and Android

WeChat has introduced new features in its latest upgrades for Android and iOS. The app can now be connected to your iPad, making it that much easier to stay in touch. Those who get lost in a sea of messages in group chats now have a quick and easy way to catch-up on what they’ve missed plus, you can and read QR codes received within the app.
First is the iPad compatibility…
Now, users can stay logged in and check messages across both devices. Combined with WeChat’s ability to connect via your desktop, this means you’re always connected. If you’d like to take your WeChatting to a slightly larger screen, simply download and open WeChat 5.4 on your iPad, select “Use on Phone and iPad” > then on your phone tap the “Discover” tab > choose “Scan QR Code” > then scan the code on your iPad. Stay On Top Of Your Chats…
Do you often miss a whole bunch of chat messages? With WeChat’s new “Last Read Message Bookmark you can quickly see what’s been said. After 10 or more messages, WeChat provides a handy “New Messages” notification. Simply tap “New Messages” within a chat and you’ll be taken to the start of your new messages to catch up.
QR Code Recogniser…
Have you received a QR code in a chat and wondered how to scan it? Well, WeChat’s new QR code recogniser differentiates between a photo and a QR code image, all you have to do is just open the QR code image in WeChat > long press it > and select “Identify the image QR code.” WeChat will automatically link you directly to the content so you can find what you need without having to leave your conversation.
