Emoji Queue at Spark for the new iPhone!

Just saw this via a post by Spark NZ on Facebook. The new iPhone 6/6+ is being launched in New Zealand (and presumably other countries as well) next Friday 26th of September. As with previous iPhone launches, this meant that hardcore fans will be lining up in the cold, usually very early in the morning, just to be one of the first to get their hands on the new iPhone. I know, it’s crazy, right?! Nevertheless, Spark has come up with a cool idea to let you appoint a life-size emoji character to reserve your spot in line outside one of Spark’s iPhone launch stores! 
Spark stores that are participating in this promotion are:
- Auckland – Queen St
- Hamilton – The Base
- Wellington – Willis St
- Christchurch – Riccarton Mall
- Dunedin – Dunedin
As of writing this, Auckland store’s eQ is already full, and Hamilton is nearly full. So if you’re in Auckland, I think your best bet is to pre-order the new iPhone online, and let Spark ship it directly to your door. Saves having you to go to a store to get it in the first place!
Each life-size emoji character lining up in the eQ for you are uniquely identifiable, meaning that once you get to your emoji character, you can replace it with you standing in the queue once you get there.
