[News] Changes to Custom Domains in Outlook.com
Yesterday I received an email from Microsoft outlining some of the changes that will be happening to the Windows Live Admin Centre. On the 10th of April 2014, Outlook.com no longer supported new custom domain sign-ups to its mail and other services and the email was to tell people who were already signed up to it before, that they will no longer be able to add or remove accounts in their domain.
Microsoft also went on to say that they will continue to support the ability to log in to Outlook.com with your existing custom domain email address, but as of the 31st of July 2014, you will no longer be able to add or remove accounts in your domain, instead moving those to their paid service – Office 365.
This move is most likely because Microsoft wants to move all its business customers over to its paid offering with their Office 365 service.
