[News] WeChat Announces 1GB Free Cloud Storage

WeChat, a messaging system for mobile users, has recently launched 1GB of cloud storage for free on the app. This means that users will be able to save media files from their WeChat logs in the cloud.

WeChat have launched this feature for users so they can attempt to “save space” on their mobile device storage system and instead save media files to their WeChat cloud to be used at a later date for re-visiting or sharing with friends and family.

WeChat users simply have to press the ‘Favourite’ option on their chat screen and not only do the pictures but also voice notes, videos get and text messages get saved on directly on the cloud. These saved pictures, videos and messages can be accessed at any time at the users will. The users can access their stored data on multiple devices and is not just limited to their personal smartphone.
