[News] Microsoft Outlook Users Can Now “Hang” with Google Hangouts Users
If you are a Microsoft Outlook user that also has a Google Apps account, you can now join and/or initiate a Google Hangouts call directly from Outlook’s Mail or Calendar site. This is mainly for business customers but if you have a Google Apps account you can also take advantage of this as well.
“Schedule meetings in the blink of an eye with Google Apps shared calendars,” Google tweeted. It also added on Google+, “Now you’ll be able to start, join or schedule a Hangout directly from Outlook Mail and Calendar.”
Users first must download the Google Hangouts plugin for Outlook on their system, and then users will be able to see a new icon on the specified Outlook pages that will allow them to schedule or join a Hangout directly.
