[News] Skype Group Video Calls Now Free for Certain OSes
Skype Group Video Calls are now free for users on PC, Mac and Xbox One. Previously, you had to pay for a Skype Premium account which included group video calls in order to be able to use it.
This is a good move by Microsoft, albeit a late one, because Google Hangouts already had the option of free group video calls for quite a while now, and it’s obvious that Microsoft does want to retain some of its customers…..
The Skype Group Video Calls are only available on the PC, Mac and Xbox One currently, so other devices like Android, iOS, Windows Phone etc. aren’t capable of making group video calls just yet. However Skype did say it will find support for the rest of the platforms soon, but did not specify a date.
So, go now my friends and start a group video call!
