3D Scanner for the iPad
If you have a 3D printer, or you just want to save a 3D model of an object or face onto your computer, you can now do it even easier with the iSense. This 3D scanner works and attaches to your iPad, hence the “i” before the “Sense”. A previous model was only able to be used on PC machines. Full article here.
Yahoo Acquires Aviate – a Smart Homescreen Android App
Aviate, a smart homescreen Android app that I am currently rocking instead of the usual TouchWiz homescreen on my Galaxy Note, has been bought by Yahoo, as per today’s Yahoo keynote presentation. LG Unveils 2nd-gen Pocket Photo to print out your Pictures on-the-fly
LG is trying to bring back the “Instant Print” by announcing its 2nd-gen Pocket Photo device, that allows you to print out your pictures (i.e from your smartphone) on-the-fly. This is pretty similar to an Instax camera, except without a built-in camera to take the shot! Full article here.
Mophie Announces New Space Packs – Battery and Storage All-In-One for the iPhone
Mophie is a company that is known for making external (and connected) battery packs to charge your device’s battery when it is low. Now it is combining its battery industry and is joining it up with the storage industry to create a all-in-one unit that can charge your iPhone 5 or 5s while also providing extra storage to the device! Huawei Introduces the Ascend Mate 2 with a Huge Battery Capacity
This was actually announced two days ago, but the Ascend Mate 2 is the 2nd-gen version of the Ascend Mate 1. The newer version has a massive battery capacity at 4,050mAh. This means that it is also able to charge other devices through the Ascend Mate 2’s battery. Huawei is calling this the Reverse Charge ability. Full article here.
LG’s HomeChat allows you to “chat” with your Washing Machine
Because manually walking over to your washing machine and turning it on and setting the wash cycle just isn’t enough, LG have decided to launch its HomeChat service, which lets you “text” your LG smart washing machine to turn on and do its job. Full article here.
