The Holidays and Drinking Responsibly

We hope you have had a remarkable and enjoyable Christmas and New Years holiday! We have been enjoying ourselves in our break and now it is time to get back to work! This article may not be specifically talking about technology, but since the Christmas and New Year holidays have just ended, I thought now would be great time to revisit the aspects of drinking, and how adult alcohol consumers (not just young adults but all adults) should drink moderately and responsibly, through Heineken’s latest initiative ‘Dance More, Drink Slow’.
Heineken have teamed up with world famous DJ, Armin Van Buuren, and Armada Music to help promote the slow consumption of alcohol, while on the dance floor. The star of the campaign is a new track by Armin Van Buuren called “Save my Night“, which encourages moderation of drinking during a night out and alsoto use the hastag #DMDS ( Dance more, drink slow) to spread the word . This track is available now and fans can access the track here.
On top of this music track, Armin Van Buuren will also be starring in the film “The Experiment”, which shows an experiment (hence the film title) about what influence the DJ has on consumers to change their behaviour to dance more and consequently drink slow.
This is an interesting experiment to view mainly because of just how much of an influence a DJ can have on the amount of alcohol being consumed on the dance floor. You can view the video down below:
