[News] Instagram Launches Instagram Direct
Today, Instagram launched Instagram Direct – a way to send Instagram photo and video messages to friends, family, co-workers, siblings and more, up to 15 people at a time privately.
Now, users who follow each other can send each other private chat-like messages, with a photo or video based around it. Basically, the subject or topic of the conversation will be about that photo or video, unlike Facebook Messages, where you are able to start a conversation by a ‘text’ and you will also be able to see all photos and videos sent to each other in one conversation view. Of course you will be able to type a comment along with the media that you send privately.
After sending the photo or video, you will be able to see who has viewed your media, see who has liked it and see the conversation unfold in real-time!
Here is an official video preview by Instagram:
Instagram for iOS version 5.0 is available today for download in Apple’s App Store, and Instagram for Android version 5.0 is available today on Google Play. Instagram for Windows Phone is still in beta and will be launched at a later date.
