[News] Google Now is Now Available for iOS

Google Now for iOS

Excuse the pun above, but Google Now has been released for iOS users! Google Now was previously only available on Android devices running Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and above and it [Google Now] offered you detailed search results and updates specifically tailored to you and your needs, based on your location and your whereabouts. It could be a great alternative to Siri, Apple’s own personal-assistance app.

To get the Google Now update, all you have to do is update your Google Search app for iOS.

Some of the “card” features of Google Now that are available on Android, are not available for iOS users. These include: Boarding Pass, Events, Concerts, Activity Summary and Nearby Events.

If you didn’t know what Google Now does, well, put it simply, it grabs information from all your Google services like Gmail, Search, Calendar, Maps and anything else connected, and displays (or notifies) you on beautifully-displayed cards.

For a more advanced view on this, once Google Now learns where you work, what you like, where you live etc, it can help you to organise events, prioritise important meetings, keep you punctual or tell you what to wear for the weather.
