[News] Google Play Store has been revamped and introduces Google Play Music

Google Play Store

Today is the day where you can get a newly designed, revamped version of the Google Play Store for your Android device. The UI is now much more simpler and cleaner, making browsing apps that much more efficient!

Google today has also quietly announced that their Google Play Music feature has been released to a few other countries than the US, and one of them is us, New Zealand! WooHoo! Now…

From today, all New Zealanders can now listen to their favourite artists and download all the latest music from Google Play — a digital entertainment destination for Android devices and the web.

Google Play Music

Users are now able to buy music (tracks and albums) directly from the Google Play Music store, and if you decide to download the Google Music app, you can download and listen to your paid MP3 tracks even while offline!

Google Play Music

The free scan and match music locker on Google Play Music means that it can search on your SD card up to 20,000 existing songs from your own music library, and instantly upload them to Google Play Music.

We’re also introducing Google Play artist hub for New Zealand — a platform for independent artists to sell their music directly to fans. In the artist hub, artists can create a profile, upload their music files, suggest a retail price, and sell their music on Google Play.

Google Play Music should already come as part of the new Google Play Store update, or if you haven’t received it yet, you can go to this site to download the new Google Play Store: http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/04/09/download-completely-redesigned-latest-google-play-store-4-0-25/

Now only if they were allowed to release Google Play Movies for us… Let us know in the comments down below what you think of the new redesigned Google Play Store and Google Play Music hub!
