[News] Samsung unveils Galaxy Note 8.0 N5100
Today, Samsung has announced its latest Note-brand product, the Galaxy Note 8.0. If you guessed it had a screen size of 8.0 inches, you would be correct!
The Galaxy Note 8.0 features an 8-inch 1280 x 800 pixel display (189 ppi pixel density), a 1.6GHz quad-core A9 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage plus a microSD card for additional storage of up to 64GB, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and last but not least, a non-removable 4,600 mAh battery. (Despite it’s “non-removable”.) And also with its predecessor family, this tablet also comes with an S-Pen.
The camera is just your average 5MP rear facing camera with auto-focus, and 1.3MP for the front-facing camera.
Samsung’s goal for its tablets, which was said today, was to keep moving forward and to align your experience with your smartphone, but the company did not include NFC support on this mini-tablet, which would have helped them achieve their goal better.
The model announced today only supported HSPA+ networks and pricing was not disclosed.
