[News] Holden NZ Looks At Young Buyers

Holden Spark Red 2016

A new campaign from Holden New Zealand which removes the need for drivers to come up with a significant deposit now means driving a new Spark LS is as simple as ‘add fuel and go.’

“Kiwis are familiar with subscription based services such as mobile phones and pay TV, and this is simply an extension of this as it too relies on a weekly payment – but we believe this is the first time it’s been done in New Zealand with a car,” said the Managing Director of Holden New Zealand, Kristian Aquilina.

A weekly $99 weekly payment will get you on-road costs, servicing costs up to 45,000km, warranty, 3-year comprehensive motor insurance and roadside assistance.

“We anticipate this promotion will resonate with recent graduates and those starting out in the workforce, as it is a very manageable weekly payment,” said Mr Aquilina.

During the three year agreement, you will pay a total of $15,345 which includes a documentation fee of $296 and PPSR fee of $10. At the end of the three year agreement, the driver has the ability to buy the car outright for $7000 in addition to the amount payable, upgrade to a new model or simply return the car and end the subscription.

The five-star ANCAP safety rated Holden Spark LS starts at $16,490 for the LS manual, $17,990 for the LS CVT automatic and $19,990 for the top-spec LT CVT. The total amount payable to keep the car would be $22,345, at the end of the three-year agreement.

The Spark also includes technology features such as Holden MyLink Infotainment System with 7-inch colour touch screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto mobile phone projection as well as Siri Eyes Free and Smartphone Voice Recognition.
