[News] WeChat Launches Mac Desktop Client for its Messaging Service
WeChat has now made an additional way for its messaging users to communicate – via a new native Mac desktop client! Unfortunately a Windows PC version was not announced also at the time. This is now similar to Viber’s PC/Mac version, but about a few months late!
WeChat announced this feature on its official Weibo account and the Mac desktop client is available in languages English and Chinese. Mac users will only be able to install this WeChat desktop client if they have Mac OS 10.7 or above.
Previously you were able to communicate from the computer via WeChat’s web version which was not a very pleasant experience and you can read more about it here.
A Windows PC version was not announced so they will have to wait a bit longer. WeChat did not comment regarding their Windows client so you will just have to wait patiently!
