Sony has just released another teaser video that hints that Sony is about to launch another smartphone! It may be the successor to their flagship phone the Xperia Z! It is rumored to be named “Honami”, or the i1. You can watch the new teaser video after the break!
The main hint in the video is that the camera will be using Sony’s G lens. The G lens is Sony’s line of lenses for DSLRs and digicams. Rumored for the new smartphone’s camera is supposedly a whopping 20MPs and a huge 1/2.3″ sensor for low-light photography!
Also hinted in the teaser video is that it will be waterproof (no surprises here as the current flagship phone is also waterproof) and that they will be launching this at an event on September 4th (US date), which probably means it will be on the 5th of September here in NZ. In fact, the press event will be held at the Berlin IFA in Sony’s booth at our time of 2:15AM on Thursday! Wow! Then, slightly under three hours later, will be the Samsung UNPACKED event, also at the IFA! The Samsung event will be live-streamed on their YouTube channel, and will start at 5AM.
